About Me

My interest in communication and languages started at an early age, but it was first during the years I spent travelling and working abroad that I became convinced that I wanted to focus my future on translating.

I worked for a Swedish travel agency as a trekking and excursion guide, and as a service manager in the Azores, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands. The list of countries visited when travelling is an extensive one. So, to make a long story short; Apart from travelling most of Europe, I have enjoyed the surf in Central America, the rhythms in the Caribbean, the cultural vibes of several American cities, the scuba diving in South East Asia and the hikes in New Zealand.

After a few years abroad, I returned home to Sweden to take up my studies again at Lund University - one of Sweden’s most prestigious universities and one of Scandinavia’s largest institutions for education and research. It was here I could completely wallow in my fascination for languages and communication, which led me to my Master’s Degree in Technical translation, and ultimately to start my own business as a freelance translator in March 2007.

Travel is my passion! The combination of languages, people, experiences and new cultures is simply unbeatable! I am an outdoorsy person and a keen surfer. As a person I am positive, creative and inquisitive, always keen to learn something new, and I consider new challenges an essential part of life.

As a professional I am thorough, ambitious and target-oriented. As a freelance translator I get to use these qualities and this is one of the reasons why I love what I do. As an extra bonus, my job comes with flexibility and freedom that suits my lifestyle.
